Delhi Blast: LG Manoj Sinha Urges Citizens to Unite Against Terrorism

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has called on citizens across the nation to stand together in the fight against terrorism. His heartfelt appeal came during the Foundation Week of the Islamic University in Awantipora, where he addressed a gathering deeply moved by recent events.

Expressing his grief, LG Sinha said, “I pay my condolences to those who lost their lives in the Red Fort car blast on November 10.” The tragedy, which shook Delhi, has once again highlighted the urgent need for unity and vigilance among the people.

“Terrorism is the biggest threat to peace and development. It not only destroys the harmony of society but also weakens the spirit of brotherhood,” he remarked. “For over three decades, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered because of terrorism, but today, they are breaking barriers and chasing their dreams — something that frustrates those who seek to divide us.”

In his powerful message, LG Sinha emphasized that the responsibility to maintain peace does not rest with security agencies alone. He appealed to the public, urging every citizen to remain alert and report any suspicious or antisocial activities that could endanger lives or disrupt harmony.

His words echoed a collective call to action — one that goes beyond political or regional boundaries. “Peace is a shared responsibility. Together, we can ensure that no force succeeds in breaking the unity of our people,” he concluded.

This call from LG Sinha stands as a reminder that every individual plays a role in safeguarding the nation’s peace, protecting its progress, and preserving its unity. The real strength of a society lies not just in its governance, but in the courage and vigilance of its people.
