A senior police officer confirmed that comprehensive security measures have been put in place for both teams, ensuring safe travel between hotels and practice venues. “We have strengthened protection for players and officials. This heightened security will remain in effect throughout the five days of the Test,” he said.
Alongside security, authorities have issued detailed traffic advisories to ensure smooth movement during match days, particularly around the Maidan and Eden Gardens from November 14 to 18. All goods vehicles will be prohibited from entering the stadium zone between 7 am and 7 pm, and public transport routes have been temporarily modified.
