Kashmir to Host International Cricket After Four Decades

Srinagar: In a historic moment for Kashmir, international cricket will return to the region after nearly 40 years as the final leg of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) is set to take place in October at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium.

The new season of LLC will kick off on September 20 at Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Raman Raheja, Co-Founder of LLC, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement, highlighting the significance of bringing cricket back to Kashmir. He noted that this season offers a unique opportunity for cricketers to experience the region’s beauty and warm hospitality.

For the people of Kashmir, this event is monumental, as they will witness live international cricket in their homeland after nearly four decades. The league, known for its exciting matches, garnered a viewership of 180 million across India in the previous season’s 19 games. With an expanded schedule and a star-studded lineup featuring the recently retired Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, this season is expected to surpass all previous records.
